Our parent community raises much needed funds through PTA fundraisers. These funds are used so PS 58 can continue to provide our kids with specific educational resources and experiences that help make this school unique and wonderful.

Our PTA funds:
- additional classroom and library books
- the librarian and specialty teachers
- professional development workshops for teachers
- mini-grants for every teacher
- musical instruments for all grades (3rd-5th graders learn a string instrument!)
- materials and equipment for gardening and earth boxes
- visiting authors series: book reading and autographed book for every child
- academic enrichment and in-class programing, such as:
- NYC Ballet Tales & Poetry Slam workshops
- African Dance & Yoga residencies
- Chess & Ballroom Dancing
- Zoo Animal & Planetarium Visits
- technology needs and Chromebooks for 2nd through 5th grades
- scholarships for field trips and afterschool programs
- playground & gym equipment, scoreboard and recess coaches
- wellness week & school-wide lice checks
- copy machines, air conditioners, and projector screens in classrooms
- ID lanyards for teachers, staff, and visitors
