This committee handles administration for each teacher’s mini-grant requests. The Mini- Grant budget includes funding in three categories General Classroom Materials, Curricular Grants and Professional Development. In years past, teachers have been given a budget between $400 (general education teachers) and $800 (specialty teachers) to put towards necessary materials for their classrooms. Curricular Grants are for grade-wide or school- wide materials (e.g. test prep materials for testing grades). Lastly, there are funds available for required Professional Developments and/or as an option to teachers if they are interested.
This team fills needs for volunteers for the PTA and the school. They use Konstella to send calls for volunteers and to create volunteer sign up forms.
Fifth grade is the final grade at PS 58 and with it comes many rites of passage throughout the year. Special events such as the overnight trip, yearbook, graduation and dance require additional funds and community building among 5th grade families. The 5th Grade Rep works with 5th grade parents to arrange and fundraise specifically for these exciting happenings.
The annual Auction and Party is a fun event as well as an important source of income for our PTA. There are many ways to support the auction: donate time or treasure, and attend the event!
Events throughout the year provide lots of opportunities to lend a hand. Watch Konstella and Sign Up.
Opportunities include Lunch Volunteers, Scholastic Book Fair, Rummage Sale, Costume Carnival, School Picture Day, Auction, and many more.
Share your talent! We are always looking for graphic designers, photographers, videographers, accountants, and lawyers to help with projects throughout the year.

A great opportunity to get to know your fellow parents and your child's teachers is to volunteer to be a class parent. Class Parents are an integral part of the classroom community and a huge help to the teachers.
Help communicate vital information, plan classroom events, and act as a liaison between the teachers and other parents in your class.
Class parents are recruited at the beginning of each year. If you are interested in filling this rewarding role, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Our monthly meetings are held on Wednesdays, alternating between evenings (7:00 PM in the Cafeteria) and mornings (8:00 AM in the auditorium). Learn about what’s happening at PS58 that impacts your family. Get updates from the principal, SLT, committee chairs, and budget committee.
