FundraisingPTAComments Off on 8th Annual Read-a-Thon Ends February 5th

It’s time to turn in your reading logs, pledge sheets and any money you collected to your teacher on February 6th.  Thank you for participating and keep reading!

We’ve been logging minutes read since January 12th.  If you still need them, here are the how-tos and forms below.

It’s time for the Annual Read-a-Thon, one of our biggest “fun”draisers of the school year!  Here’s how to participate…

  • Get SPONSORS. Think grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, neighbors. Anyone who is excited about your child reading and making a difference in their community. Use this as an opportunity for them to call, email, write, use social media. Send thank you notes at the end. Get them involved in the process.
  • LOG DAILY minutes. This includes any and all reading outside of school, including HW and family reading. Make it FUN!
  • Collect DONATIONS (cash, checks, online donations are all good).
  • Submit READING LOGS, PLEDGE FORMS & DONATIONS to teachers on Tuesday, February 6th.
  • One winner per grade, most collective minutes read (7 classes). The class will receive a certificate of excellence along with a gift card to enhance their in-class library.
  • The BIG WINNER (the class with the most collective minutes read school-wide) will also win a pizza & cupcake party along with an extra library visit
  • Look for reading logs and pledge forms in backpack mail. Or download them below.
